JoWooD regrets to be forced to cancel the development agreement with Perception, the Australian developer currently responsible for the Stargate-SG1: The AllianceTM license title. “The title in its current form, initially scheduled for an October 2005 release, does satisfy neither our quality requirements nor the fans expectations. We will not release anything that does not do justice to this well known license” says Albert Seidl, CEO JoWooD Productions Software AG. “In recent months we have invested a lot of time and resources in helping Perception finish the development, but we now simply have lost confidence in their ability to finish this project in time and sufficient quality.”

While the space agency NASA is still searching for life on the planet Mars, NASA may may have put it there already.
The British newspaper The Sunday Times reports a bacteria from Earth might have escaped to Mars.

NASA believes the two rover spacecrafts Spirit and Opportunity, scuttling across the red planet, are carrying a bacterium from Earth.

Picking up the pace, SG-1 looks like its getting back on track.

Avalon Part Two picks up right at the end of Part One, and very quickly resolves the cliffhanger set by its predecessor. Not that that’s a bad thing, as its resolved quite nicely. Daniel’s knowledge saves the day initially, and then Mitchell’s skill at sword fighting keeps them all alive. It’s a nice little sequence with the Knight, but why was it even there? It served very little purpose other for a nifty action sequence and a somewhat cheesy flashback to Mitchell failing in his life. Meh, I suppose I can live with it.
