There’s been a lot of recent developments in the Stargate universe in recent weeks.
*SPOILERS*
- The two upcoming films have been given the titles, Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. Extensive plot details can be found here
- The producers have spoken out about details of the new, third live-action Stargate series.
- Richard Dean Anderson has been approached about appearing in the films, but nothing concrete has been signed or decided thus far.
- In Atlantis, the character of Doctor Weir (Tori Higginson) is to be demoted to a recurring guest character next year, losing her regular status.
- SG-1’s Col. Carter (Amanda Tapping) appears set to gate over Atlantis next year; she’s now penned in for 14 episodes.
- Finally, Joe Flanigan (Col. John Sheppard) has hinted that Atlantis may move in an interesting new creative “direction”. Details here.
