Remember that British Star Trek fan who converted his flat into an amazing Star Trek themed room? Remember how everyone laughed at the ultimate nerd? Well, you better remember how that nerd sold the aforementioned flat for almost $1,000,000.

That’s right. Tony Alleyne, Star Trek fanatic, has sold his luxury Trek flat for £425,000 (around $900,000) — reportedly five times its market value.

After years of work (and a mere £30,000 ($60,000) in expenses!), Tony’s luxury flat has fetched him a fortune. He put it up for sale on eBay with a guide price of £130,000 (twice that, in dollars).

After a very fiercly fought bidding war amongst some very hardcore (and very rich) Star Trek fans, a final offer was made of £425,000, which Tony accepted.

The flat is a magnificent replica themed around the Starship Voyager, with back-lit panels, realistic walls and even its own transporter room.

According to British tabloid The Sun, the proceeds from the sale may go to… building another Star Trek replica!

“I’ll probably buy another flat with a good shape that lends itself to transformation.”
