I also live in the U.S. and was looking forward to the Christmas Special. I hope it still will be aired soon. I guess this means that the Easter Special coming up or any of the other Doctor Who specials this year will not be shown in America or at least not in any timely fashion.

I was also upset that the Doctor Who Christmas Special was not shown on the Sci-Fi channel or BBC America. If there are alot of fans in the U.S., why deprive them of the Christmas Special, especially since this is David Tennant’s last season with Doctor Who. I just hope the DVD comes to the U.S. soon if it is not going to be shown on TV anytime soon.

As an American viewer, I was quite annoyed that SciFi passed on the opportunity to air “The Next Doctor” during the holidays. When I learned that the DVD was already released in the UK, that only made things worse. So I did the only thing I could to ensure that I saw the Christmas special in a (somewhat) timely manner: I downloaded it. I’m not proud of it, but I’m glad I did, because the show is brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable. I’ll still buy the DVD when it’s available in the US, but I simply couldn’t wait any longer.

I live in Toronto, (although I have a UK email address). I used to be able to see Dr Who here on the CBC and then on the web for a month after the show – we got NO Christmas Special here, and I am longing to see it, especially after reading your review – I can’t find it on Youtube – or anywhere – please help!!
