While I personally may find it obscene that so much money continues to be pumped into the Transformers franchise, some of you may be interested to hear that Transformers 3 is due to roll before the cameras in May.

Explosion-addict Michael Bay continues as directory, with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox reprising their roles.

The film is due to be released on July 1st 2011, which is only a year after filming begins.  Given the amount of CGI the film will doubtlessly require, that seems like it’ll be cutting it a little fine.

That said, I’m no film-company executive.
