I remember Sarah Connor as having much more than a little rage. But seriously, River Tam, Aeryn Sun… I suppose not Adelle Dewitt because she’s more of an anti-hero… Faith Lehane, Brigitte Fitzgerald (if Sydney Bristow is SF then so are werewolves), Kate Freelander, Toshiko Sato, Elizabeth Weir, Vala Mal Doran, Lyta Alexander, Angela Marsh, Fleur Morgan…
Make way for the BAMFs. And Telzey Amberdon, Honor Harrington and most female characters written by Lois McMaster Bujold are pissed no one’s made them into movies/TV. They wanna join in the fun.

Ok Hermione Granger is very cool but “Harry Potter” is NOT SCIFI. It is FANTASY. In my book, not the same thing.

So often is Hermoine left off these kinds of lists! And really, she’s such a great, smart little lady. I couldn’t be the one to ignore her this time. I had to bring attention to her brilliance!

What a pleasant surprise to see Hermione Granger included in your list. She’s much stronger than people think, up until about book five (when he really starts to defend himself properly) she could waste that Potter kid.

She’s not able to think on her feet in a crisis as quickly as the others at first, but by book seven, her quick thinking saves Harry from being recognized by the snatchers and helps Xenophilius avoid further trouble.

Overall, she’s my favourite character of the series.

As cool as Skully is, I don’t find her as SUPER cool as these fine ladies. Hot, yes. Smart, yes. Cool? Medium. I found her personality a tad bland if I’m being totally honest.

It was hard eliminating some of the girls. Skully, for example. I just felt that some of these ten were important to include because they are often excluded on other people’s lists. :D
