You know those trailers which simply make your face melt? You know, like Sherlock Holmes, Avatar and Transformers? The type where you might have been looking forward to the film already, or might know, in advance, that it will make you want to tear your eyes out… but still want to see because the trailer has blown your mind out across the row behind you?

I just watched one of these trailers. Except this one didn’t just blow my mind, it melted my face and burned my soul Arc-of-the-Covenant style…

Resident Evil: Afterlife

If you think I’m exaggerating, look at the youtube version below (Then use your superhuman geek imagination to imagine what that would be like in a cinema…). It’s like a combination of the best elements of The Matrix, Underworld and 28 Weeks Later in one film.

My computer doesn’t have 3D
I have yet to see a movie in 3D
I may have to break a rule and pay full cinema price for a movie…

Without a doubt, this may be one of my most anticipated movies upcoming, despite my mixed review of it’s predecessor, Extinction.
