This is just awesome.  This movie could be on its way to becoming the best (not that that’s saying much, but I mean best by a long way) video game to movie adaptation of all time.

A little more sense of backstory fleshed out in this trailer, and the action sequences can be seen in a little more detail.

They look gorgeous.

This movie’s style looks gorgeous.

I promised not to let myself get excited by this film, being such an enormous fan of the games, but I can’t help feeling a jolt of adrenaline.

This could be very good.

Gotta admit:  those are pretty darn cool, especially the second.  As movie posters go, I imagine the first one is more effective with its title and date clear.  The second, while artistically stronger, obscures the name a little and has no further info.  Possibly something for in-theater promotion.

Some new images have leaked online for the new game-to-movie adaptation of Max Payne.  Most are in the comic-noir style prevalent throughout both games.
